Yesterday the Kalicoontie Rod and Gun Club with the help of Ed Unkel and friends held our first youth fishing derby in years. The tournament was held at Ed Unkel’s pond at his property in Hudson NY. Starting at 8am in the morning and running till noon, the day was filled with food, fun, friends, and fish! Over 20 youth participants ( 24 total ) were entered in the contest which saw all going home with some sort of prize or another. A great day that we hope to do again next year. Here are some photos from yesterday. A great big thank you to all who helped make this great day possible. Worms and minnows were purchased from Hook line and Sinker bait shop in Red Hook. Some of the wonderful prizes given to the entrants were donated by the bait shop also. Thank You !
